Laurel County Jail Mugshots
The Laurel County roster uses Public Safety Cloud/JailTracker, and the client inventory found during research includes offender image fields such as OffenderImage, LargerImage, ImagePath, image width and height settings, and a configuration that can hide images unless a user is logged on. That means the platform supports booking-photo display. It does not prove that every Laurel County inmate record currently shows a mugshot to every public user.
The correct records-oriented wording is cautious: Laurel's official roster may display booking images when public display is enabled, but a current live profile should be checked before making a hard claim about a specific person. The research did not locate a recent-bookings gallery, a daily booking-photo report, a historical mugshot archive, or a county policy stating exactly how long booking photos remain online after release. Do not use commercial mugshot sites as substitutes for the county record.
Find Laurel County Booking Photos
Start with the official Laurel County JailTracker roster. If the roster app loads, search by name and open the inmate profile. If a photo field is visible, compare it to the name, booking, charge, and court information on the same profile. If the roster fails, the image is hidden, or the person has been released or transferred, use the jail phone or a records request route instead.

- Search by last name and add first name if needed.
- Open the record and look for a booking image or larger-image option.
- Call Laurel County Corrections at (606) 878-9431 if the photo or custody status is unclear.
- Use a Kentucky Open Records Act request to the record-holding agency if the image is not online.

Laurel County Booking Photo Fields
A booking photo is only one field in a custody record. The surrounding fields matter because they show whether the record is current, which agency made the arrest, what charge text appears at booking, and what court or bond information may need follow-up. The image does not prove guilt, and a booking charge can later be amended or dismissed in court.

Are Laurel County Mugshots Public
Kentucky research did not locate a standalone mugshot statute like states that specifically restrict pre-conviction booking-photo publication or require commercial removal. The supported local wording is that booking photos are requested under Kentucky's general Open Records Act unless an exception applies. The most relevant open-records statutes are KRS 61.871, which states Kentucky's policy favoring free and open public-record examination, and KRS 61.872, which allows Kentucky residents to inspect public records unless an exception applies and allows agencies to require a written application.
Kentucky records rule: Booking photos should be treated as agency records requested from the office that holds them, subject to open-records exceptions, court restrictions, juvenile confidentiality, security concerns, or expungement orders.
How Long Mugshots Stay Listed
The official Laurel sources inspected did not publish a retention window for booking photos on the roster. The research did not confirm whether released inmates remain visible, whether photos drop when a person leaves custody, or whether a historical mugshot can be viewed online. Therefore, do not assume a booking photo will remain public after release.
What is and is not public: A current roster photo may be visible if enabled. Older, sealed, juvenile, expunged, security-sensitive, or non-county records may require a request or may be withheld.
Request Laurel County Booking Photo
If a Laurel County booking photo is not visible on the roster, call Laurel County Corrections at (606) 878-9431 and ask whether booking images are released from the roster, through jail records, or through a written open-records request. If the photo relates to a sheriff investigation or case report, the sheriff's services page says case reports are obtained in person during regular business hours and lists a $5 report fee. If informal release is refused or the image is no longer online, use Kentucky's Open Records Act and address the request to the agency that maintains the image.
A good request should include the person's full name, approximate arrest or booking date, the arresting agency if known, and any booking, jacket, case, or warrant number shown on the roster. Remove Sealed Mugshot Records
Removal is not handled by paying a private publisher. Official removal depends on the status of the underlying record and the agency that displays or holds it. If charges were dismissed, there was an acquittal, or no indictment or information was filed, KRS 431.076 may be relevant. KRS 431.079 addresses expungement effects, including removal from official state background checks. Eligibility and process should be confirmed with the court or counsel.

Federal State Booking Photos
Federal custody works differently. The BOP inmate locator provides federal custody search fields but does not operate a public mugshot gallery. ICE ODLS is also separate from the county jail roster. Kentucky DOC KOOL may show state offender records and includes a photos-only search filter in the research inventory, but KOOL is for sentenced or supervised state offenders, not a fresh Laurel County booking.
Laurel County Correctional Center appears in federal and ICE context because the facility can hold federal inmates and has a 2026 ICE review page. That does not mean a federal or immigration booking photo will be displayed on the Laurel public roster. The right locator depends on who has legal custody at the time of the search.
